To get to the city centre from Baneasa Airport take bus No.131 to Piata Romana. Tickets can be bought at the kiosk next to the bus stop and cost 1.30 lei (€0,37 single).
Day
Head straight for Casa Poporului (Piata Constitutiei, www.cdep.ro) home of Romania’s parliament. The view from the balcony is well worth the €5 entrance fee.
Evening
Get a taste of Romania for next to nothing at Burebista Vanatoresc (14 Strada Batistei, +40 21 211 8929). The menu is packed with local treats.
Night
