THIS SEASON’S TRAVEL MUST-HAVES AND HOTTEST NEW OPENINGS ACROSS EUROPE

1 Monart Spa, Dublin

For pampering on a whole new level head to the recently opened Monart Spa, just a couple of hours out of Dublin. Set in an 18th century manor house and its own gorgeous grounds, the 68-room spa is a true retreat. Rooms are huge, with views over lake or woodland, enormous beds – and as you’d expect from a spa hotel – there are snug bathrobes and slippers hanging in the wardrobe. These are worn everywhere, even to breakfast (don’t panic, it’s not all about smoothies and cereal). The spa itself is second to none – the icing on the cake being the view from the sauna and the hydrotherapy pool.

2 Zegna, Milan

Luxury Italian men’s label Ermenegildo Zegna has over 500 stores in 62 countries, but the new global store in Milan is a first. The huge four-level flagship features areas for perfume, sunglasses, underwear and sportswear – as well as a Couture Room offering tailor-made clothing. Renowned architect Peter Marino is the man behind the renovation of the Palazzo, which dates back to the 1800s, and sits on Milan’s chicest shopping street – Via Montenapoleone.

3 Mandarina Duck Travel Bag

This new holdall from the Italian bag experts is made with women in mind. It is part of their new line Joy, for girls who love to travel. The front pocket can be used outside or tucked inside – or even detached completely and used as a shoulder bag.

So it’s two bags in one, really.

Genius. €320, www.mandarinaduck.com)

4 Wallpaper* City Guide, London

There’s more to London than Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square – which is where the chic and petite Wallpaper* guides come in handy. Packed with up-tothe-minute insider information on off the tourist track places to visit, plus bars and restaurants that only the cool kids know about – it’s a Runway reader’s essential. (Phaidon, €8.95)

5 Le Crazy Horse, Paris

Salvador Dali was a regular here, Woody Allen filmed here – and Demi Moore had lessons here. In fact Paris’ famous burlesque and cabaret show has been entertaining the most glamorous of crowds for more than 55 years. The good news is that it has just been given a facelift, meaning it’s back on the speed dial of everyone in the know. Grab a ticket and join the cabaret crowd.
